Virgin: A person, typically a woman, who has never had sexual intercourse.
If you have ever had sexual intercourse, you are no longer a virgin. There is, however, something you can do to make yourself appear to be a virgin again. This is called hymen reconstruction, hymenorrpahphy, or hymenoplasty. While this procedure could never make you a virgin again, it would put your hymen back into place.
What Is The Hymen?
The hymen is a membrane which surrounds or partially covers your external opening of your vagina. In many cultures if a woman does not have a hymen that is intact, it is believed she is not a virgin.
One problem with using the hymen as a means of determining virginity is the fact that some women are not born with hymens. Another thing is that the hymen can be ripped through rigorous activities, tampons, and other things. While it is not possible to confirm or deny the virginity of a woman through checking for an intact hymen, some cultures still do.
Why Undergo Hymen Reconstruction?
Some women just want to feel like a virgin again, so they will undergo hymen reconstruction. In some cultures, however, it can dishonor the family if it is believed the woman is not a virgin on her wedding night. It is expected that she would bleed after post-nuptial sex.
If the woman is checked for a hymen and she does not bleed, something called an honor killing could happen. The woman’s father or brother’s could kill her to “restore” family honor.
Some women will fake their virginity by inserting fake blood capsules into their vagina. This is highly frowned enough since it is virginity fraud.
Other women have suffered from rape, or other sexual abuse and wish to have their hymen reconstructed.
While nothing can allow a woman to get her virginity back, hymen reconstruction will allow for this illusion. Some women choose to get a tighter vagina through vaginal exercises, or vaginal tightening cream. This option is much safer and less painful than having hymen reconstruction surgery or laser vaginal rejuvenation.
